- The vehicle must be registered within the borders of the country where you purchased it or where you are a citizen. However, if you reside in one of the European Union countries, it is not a problem to bring your vehicle registered in a European Union country different from your place of residence to Turkey.

- On the other hand, retired foreign investors are exempted from these conditions. In other words, there is no 185-day requirement for retired foreign investors to bring their vehicles to Turkey from abroad.

- It is possible to make the necessary checks regarding the suitability of the vehicle's arrival in Turkey by entering the address turkiye.gov.tr. The control you will make through the address turkiye.gov.tr, Turkey will also prevent possible disruptions you may experience at the border crossing.

After fulfilling all these conditions and entering Turkey with your vehicle, you can use your vehicle in Turkey for two years.

If you do not have citizenship or residence permit in Turkey, this period is limited to 90 days.

If you want to bring a vehicle belonging to someone else to Turkey, at this point you need to get a power of attorney from the vehicle owner.

For vehicles brought to Turkey by proxy, a period of 30 days is set.

Again, before entering Turkey with your vehicle, you must have all your documents ready, your vehicle must have a valid insurance in Turkey, if there is no such insurance, the vehicle must be insured at the customs gate.

If the vehicle you will bring to Turkey is registered on a company;

- A power of attorney belonging to the company owner,

- A document showing that the person who will bring the vehicle to Turkey is a partner or employee of that company,

- Notarised versions and translations of all these documents must be available.

After entering Turkey with the vehicle registered in your name, the vehicle in question can be used within the borders of the country by your mother, father, spouse and children over the age of 18.
